Calling all kids—it’s time for the fourth annual Art of Ipsun Sunny Summer Art Contest! Let’s celebrate the last few weeks of summer, the sun, and all of the awesome artists out there who care about fighting climate change. Share your sun artwork for the chance to win a Ben & Jerry’s gift card—and every kid who enters will get a coupon from Ben & Jerry’s in Vienna, VA good for a cone with two scoops!
Kids can visit the Sunny Summer Art Contest page to find inspiration for their artwork. There are sun craft ideas, Bill Nye’s video explaining solar energy, and some great kids videos about climate change. And of course, you can’t get inspired to do art without watching They Might Be Giants singing their anthem to the sun, Why Does the Sun Shine?
Here’s how to enter:
- Open to all kids ages 2-12.
- Check out the videos and links on our Sunny Summer Art Contest page to learn about solar energy and get inspired!
- Make your beautiful, creative artwork about the sun.
- Take a picture of your artwork with a smartphone.
- Submit your art via email to events@ipsunsolar.com
- Include your first and last name and grade.
We’ll have winners from each grade, preschool through 6th. Submissions accepted through September 30th. Prizes are Ben & Jerry’s ice cream gift cards!
